Maximum working hours

Rules regarding maximum working hours and overtime are laid down in the Labor Act 2000 BES. This act is not applicable to employees whose salary exceeds a certain wage limit, as yearly determined by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Work. If employees earn more than the wage limit, in principle, this employee is not subject to the maximum working hours pursuant to the Labor Act BES and is then neither  entitled to overtime compensation, unless otherwise agreed between parties.
